The 12th annual FAN toy drive from Blain’s Farm and Fleet in Oak Creek and in Waukesha was an absolute success yet again. With the help of some incredible people and with the hearts of people like you in our community, we raised over $160,000 in cash, checks, toys, online donations, and gift cards for families and children in need during this holiday season. All of these donations will go to the Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin and their Community Service outreach affiliates like Robyn’s Nest, who give toys to foster families and manage the inventory.

"It always amazes me the huge hearts in our community as well as throughout the state," says Bill Michaels, host of his statewide show. "It was yet another recording breaking year benefiting the Children's Hospital of Wisconsin. Kudos to all of those who took part."

Throughout the week we interviewed families who had been directly affected by toy donations like these that helped their kids in times of great trial. We had fantastic partners who gave very generous donations. We had celebrity guests on-air like Brewers’ GM David Stearns, Bucks’ legend Jon McGlocklin, former professional wrestler Tommy Dreamer, and a plethora of other guests who joined us on site at Blain’s Farm and Fleet in Oak Creek for this fantastic event. We had excellent volunteers who donated time and money to make this event possible. And, of course, we had YOU, and everyone in our community who helped us raise more money than ever for children and families in need.

We had so many donations this year that we had to take TWO truckloads of toys to Children’s Hospital on Monday morning. Running Rebels Community Organization, Milwaukee Rescue Mission and Norris Academy helped as we packed and unloaded these trailers with toys.

Ramie Makhlouf, host of the Wendy’s Big Show, was one of those who helped load and unload the trucks on Monday. He was energized and motivated by the outcome of the FAN toy drive, “I knew you guys would outdo yourselves again and you did. You have done it every year of the 12 years since we have been doing this. We can’t thank you enough, the Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin can’t thank you enough. We have met some of the people who have benefitted from this over the week at the toy drive and they can’t thank you enough. Thank you from everyone at The Fan and from the Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin.”

Thank you so much for all of your help over the past week to provide a smile on the face of kids and families who are going through some of the most difficult moments in their lives. We could not have done it without our partners, guests, volunteers, and without YOU. Without devoted fans and listeners like YOU, an event like this could never happen. So, for all those children in need of a smile this Christmas time and from all of us at The Fan, thank you so much for all that you did to make the 12th annual FAN toy drive a resounding success yet again.
