Green Bay, WI - He's usually very private about his personal life.

Aaron Rodgers, 34, is  now talking openly about his year long relationship with former race car driver Danica Patrick, 36.

"I don’t feel like I have to be reserved all the time. We’re just two people who enjoy being around each other and love each other. We’re really into each other. So there are going to be (social media) posts with each other because we enjoy each other’s company a lot. We’re really attracted to each other."

Rodgers sat down with NBC's Sunday Night Football sideline reporter Michelle Tafoya, a fellow alum of CAL University, and discussed his trip with Danica Patrick to Africa on a charity mission this spring, on meeting the Dalai Lama, and on life after the big contract with the Green Bay Packers.

A common question I get from listeners is "How is Rodgers doing with his family? Is that true?"

Honestly, I don't know much more than you do.

His brother Jordan, who has been a regular guest in-person at the Super Bowl media center on The Bill Michaels Show on The 105.7 FM The FAN hinted in interviews with Bill he was not as close with his older brother Aaron in recent years. Then, while he was a contestant on ABC-TV's "The Bachelor," Jordan spilled the beans that he and his parents and brothers had not been in contact with Aaron in years. A detailed interview with Rodgers parents later appeared in The New York Times, who sent a reporter to his hometown of Chico, CA, and they confirmed they had been out of touch with Aaron.

No explanation or reason was given.

It's my sense that Aaron may have asked his family years ago to keep their family life private - the opposite of his predecessor Brett Favre. Wife Deanna. Mom & Dad Bonita & the late Irv. Daughters. Brothers. On and on. A Mississippi version of The Kardashians. Rodgers may have become upset when his brothers Jordan and Luke were in the media spot light. Jordan has recently done some work on ESPN's "SEC Saturday Night" as a college football analyst. He's very talented on camera.

Recently at dinner my sister-in-law, a grade school teacher, reminded me she had Danica as a student in her kindergarten class in Roscoe, IL when she first began her career in education. "Really nice parents. Very nice family." A fellow classmate from Beloit, WI, where Danica was born, told me in church Danica was their baby sitter for a few years, until the family moved to London at age 16 to help her pursue her career as an Indy car driver.  People like to talk about Rodgers life and loves.

So before you post a comment "Who cares? Leave him alone," let me remind the jury Mr. Rodgers has now openly volunteered to discuss his relationship with Ms. Patrick. He is not dating some gal from Ashwaubenon, WI. He's dating an international spokesperson - Danica Patrick. Replacing a movie actress Olivia Munn, whom he once attended the Oscars with and sat near the front row when she was a presenter in front of a billion television viewers.

Who cares? Every time we post one of these stories, it is by far the most viewed story on our website.

Apparently somebody cares.

It's a good interview.

This is the real Aaron Rodgers, away from football.
