Multiple Cardinals test positive for COVID-19

There was optimism that the Brewers would be able to have their home opener Friday, as none of their players tested positive for Covid, but after multiple Cardianls tested positive, the home opener will have to wait at least another day. Sports MLB Insider Jon Heyman was first to report on the cases and cancellation:

According to Bob Nightengale, the plan is to make up the game Sunday with a doubleheader, and that Saturday's game is still on as scheduled:

An interesting tidbit, the Brewers/Cardinals doubleheader on Sunday will be the MLB's first seven inning doubleheader:

With the postponement of Friday's game, that makes it 30 games postponed due to COVID-19 in the first week of play.
