The home run chase of 1998 between Mark McGuire and Sammy Sosa completely reignited the country's love for baseball, especially after the strike shortened 1994 season saw a lot of fans being driven out.

With the labor talks between MLB owners and players nowhere near close to a deal being struck, baseball may be headed back to another strike/lockout like that 1994 season.
