Packers complete 2019 NFL Draft

Green Bay adds to defense on day three

April 27, 2019 - 7:26 pm

On day one of the NFL Draft, the Packers went with defense for their first two picks.  Day two consisted of two additions to the offense in Elgton Jenkins and Jace Sternberger.  It appears as if Brian Gutekunst and his scouts wanted to bolster the defense going into the final day of the draft.  Both fourth round picks were traded to Seattle in order to move up in the first round to select Darnell Savage Jr.  The Packers waited until the fifth round to make their first pick on day three.  Green Bay drafted DT Kingsley Keke from Texas A&M in the fifth round of the draft.  The Packers added another defensive player in the sixth round by drafting CB Ka'Dar Hollman out of Toledo.  They also selected RB Dexter Williams from Notre Dame in that same round.  The Packers only had one pick in the final round of the draft.  Green Bay finished their draft by selecting LB Ty Summers from TCU in the seventh round.
