The Badgers QB position has been a bit of a revolving door since Russell Wilson led the Badgers to the Rose Bowl in 2011, with names like Joel Stave, Curt Phillips, Alex Hornibrook and others trying to replicate Wilson's elite production.

Jack Coan took over for Hornibrook this year, and showed some promise but still made too many mistakes. The hope is that talented redshirt Freshman Graham Mertz could be that guy, but it has yet to be seen whether he'll even be the starting QB over Coan.
