Brewers come up short in 6-3 loss to Pirates

July 12, 2018 - 9:30 pm

PITTSBURGH - The Brewers plated two runs with one out in the ninth, but their comeback bid fell short at PNC Park. They lost 6-3 loss to the Pirates on Thursday. Jesús Aguilar hit his 24th home run of the season - a solo shot in the fourth. Eric Thames and Christian Yelich drove in a pair in the ninth, too. The lack of run production spoiled Wade Miley's return to the mound. He threw five innings and allowed two runs in the start. Adrian Houser and Alec Asher relieved him out of the bullpen. Houser got shelled for four earned runs in two innings, but Asher posted a scoreless outing. Read more here.
