Brewers' 25-man squad taking shape

Guerra, Phillips, Broxton out

MILWAUKEE - It was a busy Saturday for the Brewers' front office. With Opening Day less than a week away, the team announced a flurry of moves toward the 25-man roster.

Junior Guerra, Brett Phillips and Keon Broxton were all optioned to minor league camp and should start the season with AAA-Colorado Springs. Yovani Gallardo has been let go. Catchers Dustin Houle and Christian Bethancourt, infielders Nick Franklin and Nate Orf, outfielder Kyle Wren and pitcher Radhames Liz were also informed that they would not make the Major League roster for Opening Day.
