Brewers blank Reds 2-0

MILWAUKEE - After a Cincinnati slug-fest in Game 1, the Brewers' pitching staff combined for a shutout - a 2-0 win for the Crew. Those two runs came off the bat of Eric Thames who launched a two-run home run, his sixth of the year. Junior Guerra looked sharp in the start; in five and two-thirds innings, he allowed one hit and struckout seven. Dan Jennings was granted the win, and Josh Hader the save - his second of the season.
