Brewers top Braves 5-4

July 06, 2018 - 10:21 pm

MILWAUKEE - Jesús Aguilar and Tyler Saladino both homered in a five-run, third-inning rally as the Brewers topped the Braves 5-4 at Miller Park, Friday. Aguilar and Saladino's home runs off Braves starter Mike Foltynewicz provided all of the Crew's offense. Their bats supported six innings of one-run work in a winning effort for Freddy Peralta. The win nearly slipped away when Jacob Barnes allowed three runs without recording an out in relief of Peralta, but Dan Jennings, Jeremy Jeffress and Corey Knebel locked things down to stop the bleeding. The win is the Brewers' fifth straight, and it gives them a 2-0 lead in the best-of-four series.
