October 29, 2018 - 7:53 pm

MILWAUKEE -- The MLB offseason is officially underway, and the clock is ticking for teams to make in-house decisions regarding player contracts. One of those decisions for the Brewers will be determing whether to exercise contract options for four key pieces from the 2018 stretch-run. With an Oct. 31 deadline to make a decision on those options looming, the team will have to make decisions on the contracts of Jeremy Jeffress, Jordan Lyles, Mike Moustakas and Joakim Soria. Read more on what those options entail from Adam McCalvy here.

Also announced by the team, Tuesday:

-LHP Gio Gonzalez, LHP Wade Miley and OF Curtis Granderson have elected free agency

-INF Jake Hager signed to a minor-league contract with an invitation to Major-League Camp (spent 2018 with AAA-Colorado Springs and AA-Biloxi)

-OF Tyrone Taylor added to the 40-man roster (the 40-man reaches 38 with his addition)
