Brewers take Game 1, 11-3 over Cardinals

MILWAUKEE - The Brewers clobbered the Cardinals 11-3 in the opening game of four at Miller Park, Thursday night. Brent Suter pitched well, allowing two runs on two hits through seven innings of work, and earned his eighth win of the season. Manny Piña belted his fifth home run of the season, and Eric Thames just missed a grand slam - instead settling for a three-run triple. Jesús Aguilar, Lorenzo Cain and Travis Shaw got in the RBI column, too.
