Cardinals walk off, Brewers fall 5-3 in 11th

April 11, 2018 - 12:10 am

ST. LOUIS - Extra innings were kind to the Crew on Monday night. They were not as kind to on Tuesday in a 5-3 loss to the Cardinals. Matt Carpenter belted a two-run, walk-off home run in the bottom of the 11th off of Brewers' reliever J.J. Hoover. Starter Brent Suter lasted five and one-thirds innings allowing one earned, but the bullpen unraveled allowing at least one run in each of the final three frames. Eric Thames (HR, 4), Domingo Santana and Orlando Arcia knocked-in the Brewers' three runs - Santana's and Arcia's would've been the go-aheads in the ninth and 10th inning respectively. Full story here.
