2019: World Series or bust?

February 08, 2019 - 1:38 pm

MILWAUKEE -- CC Sabathia put the Brewers on his back in 2008, carrying the team to its first postseason berth since losing the 1982 World Series. He left, the team rebuilt...sort of. A star-studded roster of young guns got the team back to the postseason in 2011, making a run to the NLCS. But once Prince Fielder, Zack Greinke and others were gone, so too were the Brewers' postseason hopes.

The 2018 Brewers electrified Milwaukee and its fans when they returned to the NLCS in 2018, but suffered a heartbreaking dismissal at the hands of the Dodgers. The difference? Most of THAT team's stars are back, its young guns are more experienced and it has a handful of fresh, hungry faces in the building. Seemingly, the squad has not taken a step back -- at least in terms of player talent. So, given the high hopes dashed in 2018, is 2019 World Series or bust for the Crew? Adam McCalvy discusses for Brewers.com.
