Giannis named all-star captain

Giannis Antetokounmpo has officially been named an All-Star captain for the second straight season. This will be Antetokounmpo's fourth career All-Star selection.

At 25-years old, Giannis contintues to improve his numbers on the court as he makes his case for a consecutive MVP award this season.  At this point in the season, Antetokounmpo is averaging a career-high in points per game (30), rebounds per game (12.9), and 3P% (32%).  He also leads the league in player efficiency with a 32.79 PER. Giannis has also led the Bucks to the best record in the NBA at 39-6 and the number one seed in the Eastern Conference.

Along with Antetokounmpo, Trae Young, Kemba Walker, Pascal Siakam, and Joel Embiid are the remaining Eastern Conference starters.

Lebron James will be the apposing All-Star captain. Luka Doncic, James Harden, Kawhi Leonard, and Anthony Davis round out the remaining Western Conference starters.

All-Star reserves will be announced on January 30th.

The 2020 NBA All-Star game is on February 16th  in Chicago.  Tip-off is set for 7:00 p.m.
