Packers waive LB Morrison

March 08, 2019 - 4:00 pm

GREEN BAY, Wis. -- The Antonio Morrison era in Green Bay didn't last long:

Morrison made $630,000 in 2018, and was due just over $2 million in 2019 if he remained on the roster when the new league year begins on March 13. The linebacker played all 16 regular season games, and started eight, for the Packers last season. He recorded 48 total tackles, a sack, two tackles for loss and two quarterback hits on the year. General manager Brian Gutekunst traded cornerback Lenzy Pipkins to the Colts in exchange for Morrison last August, just ahead of the regular season opener. Read the Packers' official comments here.
