MLB's disabled list is no more...

Major League Baseball has governed varrying forms of the disabled list since 1966. The list allowed teams to rest injured players without permantently surrendering that player's roster spot. Now, the disabled list is no more...but only because it has been renamed the "injured list." It will serve the same purpose and include the same provisions, but MLB preferred to change the misnomer "disabled" to more accurately represent the function of the list. Read more here.
