Mike McCarthy addressed the media Monday as is expected for the Packers head coach. However, this Monday's edition had some unexpected fireworks.

After a follow-up question regarding the possibility of the team acquiring Colin Kaepernick, McCarthy snapped back insisting that the Packers’ quarterback room is set.

"I've got three years invested in Brett Hundley, I have great confidence in Brett Hundley," McCarthy said. "I have two years invested in Joe Callahan. It's a quarterback room that has structure."

McCarthy reiterated that the quarterback room has a philosophy that will be applied to this Sunday's gameplan for the New Orleans Saints.

"The quarterback room is exactly where it needs to be," McCarthy said.

McCarthy also expressed that the team needs to play better, and that Hundley will start this week with recently-actived Joe Callahan as the backup. That statement applied not only to the players, but to the coach himself. McCarthy stated that he needs to do a better job getting Hundley and the offense into a flow. He also mentioned that the team needs to play “cleaner” football and took responsibility for the number of mental mistakes.
