June 11, 2019 - 2:21 pm

The Memphis Grizzlies announced the hiring of Taylor Jenkins as the team's next head coach, Tuesday. Jenkins was a Milwaukee Bucks assistant under Mike Budenholzer for the 2018-19 NBA season.

Jenkins is now the third "branch" of Budenholzer's coaching tree -- he joins Quin Snyder (Jazz) and Kenny Atkinson (Nets). Jenkins has been an assistant coach under Budenholzer since 2013 when Budenholzer took his first head coaching job with the Atlanta Hawks. Jenkins also served as head coach of the NBA Developmental League's Austin Toros (the Spurs' affiliate) prior to taking that assistant coaching position in 2013. Read more here.
