The Rise of Bucks GM Jon Horst

May 16, 2019 - 5:07 pm

The Bucks' posted an NBA-best 60 regular-season wins. The Bucks' dominated the first two rounds of the 2019 NBA Playoffs. They're both thanks, in part, to the work of young general manager Jon Horst.

Two years into his tenure, he's still the youngest at what he does in the NBA. It'd be easy for the GM of the NBA's hottest team to puff out his chest, toot his own horn and tout his own success. But not Horst. He's as humble as he's always been -- a personality trait that helped him rise from a Detroit Pistons intern to Milwaukee Bucks GM.

His rise through the NBA ranks has been far from silver-spooned. From living in a trailer with no floor to his current seat at the Bucks' organizational table, Horst's ascent has been as remarkable as it has been, in some ways, miraculous.
