PITTSBURGH - The Milwaukee Brewers take game one of the three game series against the Pittsburgh Pirates. The Brewers won 9-7 off of 13 hits, lead by last year’s MVP Christian Yelich - he had four hits in five at-bats tonight with his MLB leading 38th and 39th home run.

The Brewers offense continued their run scoring in the 4th inning led by Mike Moustakas’s 27th home run of the year. An offense who hadn’t had a multi-run inning since July 28th vs the Cubs, came up with two multi-run innings tonight.

The Brewers would have another multi-run inning in the 8th inning as Eric Thames and Orlando Arcia both hit RBI singles. Rookie Trent Grisham also added to the scoring hitting a sacrifice fly to score Eric Thames making it an eight to three ball game. Grisham had three RBIs on the night.

Jordan Lyles got the win after throwing five strong innings, and Josh Hader closed the door for his 25th save of the season.

Game two of this three game series is tomorrow night - Chase Anderson will take on Steven Brault for the Pirates. 6:05 first pitch from PNC Park.
