SAN JOSE, Calif. -- The No. 5 Wisconsin Badgers fell to the  No. 12 Oregon Ducks 72-54 in the first round of the NCAA Tournament, Thursday.

Seniors Ethan Happ and Khalil Iverson gave what they could in what amounted to their last collegiate contest, leading the Badgers with a team-best 12 points each. Happ finished with a game-high eight rebounds, too.

The Ducks made shots at a pace that Greg Gard's squad simply couldn't stop or keep up with. Oregon shot 54.9 percent from the field (33.3 percent for WIS), 46.7 percent from three (20 percent for WIS) and 81.8 percent on free throws (61.5 percent). The Badgers (60) did attempt more shots than the Ducks (51), but it doesn't matter when they don't fall. Read more here
