The Milwaukee Brewers entered today's game after making a flurry of roster moves as Jhoulys Chacin was DFA'd and Ben Gamel was sent down to AAA-San Antonio. INF Cory Spangenberg was selected to take Gamel's spot on the roster and started tonight at shortstop.

The change, a big one, but the Crew seemed unfazed as they threw their fifth shutout of the season and won their third straight with a series win against the Arizona Diamondbacks on Saturday night. The final: 4-0 Milwaukee.

The offense started churning in the fifth went Eric Thames launched a ball for his 19th homer of the season:

Next batter was Trent Grisham and the Brewers went back-to-back.

Chase Anderson was now in line for the victory and pitched a gem throwing 5 innings giving up only 3 hits while striking out 5 in the win.

The Brewers knew they could use a bit of insurance runs and they got 'em in the 7th inning when Kest Daddy ripped a liner into the left-center gap with the bases-loaded scoring two and giving Milwaukee the 4-0 win.

With 33 to go, the Brewers find themselves down three games to the St. Louis Cardinals for first place in the NL Central.
