Wisconsin snaps losing streak with 75-50 win over Illinois

The shot clock was winding down in the second half Friday night when Brevin Pritzl heard voices screaming for him to shoot. The sophomore guard on the University of Wisconsin men’s basketball team launched a deep, contested prayer from 3-point range that appeared to have no chance … right up until the point it banked off the glass and fell through the net. “It was ugly,” Pritzl said, “but sometimes it bounces your way.” It was that kind of night for the Badgers, who coasted to a 75-50 victory over Illinois at the Kohl Center to snap a three-game losing streak.
