Did I Just Wake Up

The other day we discussed the fact that the Cleveland Browns won a game for the first time since December 24th, 2016.

Now, after the Packers put on a pathetic display of self-inflicted football and the Vikings overlooked an opponent, thus the old adage “Any Given Sunday”, the Chicago Bears are now in first place in the NFC North.

That’s right, for the first time in 1,736 days, the Bears are atop the old black and blue division.

You add that up with the fact that the Patriots were beaten by the Detroit Lions and have now fallen to 1-2; if you had just awoken from a 3-month slumber, you would shake your head vigorously trying to figure out what dimension you were living in.

As much as I want to spin this as, “It’s just a blip on the radar”, I can’t.  I think the Patriots are ripe for a fall, the Browns will and are getting better, the Bears have one hell of a defense and the Packers are no where near as good as we thought they were.
