Finley Won't Kiss Their Ass

Remember when you watched the Wizard of Oz?  The munchkins in the land of OZ all lived under the rule of the powerful and all-knowing Oz.

Then, after Dorothy, the Cowardly Lion, the Tin Man and the Scarecrow returned with the broomstick from the Wicked Witch of the West, the Wizard wasn’t going to grant their wishes until the little dog Toto pulled back the curtain and exposed the Wizard for what he was….just a man….a human and not a great and powerful wizard.

Didn’t you feel at least a little bit let down?

I’ve always said, that’s the business of the NFL and it’s the business of the Green Bay Packers.

Once you peel back the green and gold curtain, their just men in a business where human beings risk their lives and wellbeing for our entertainment.  They’re a commodity.  And, once you’re no longer a valued commodity, you’re replaced with another.

If you don’t know what I’m talking about specifically, just listen to my interview with former Packers TE Jermichael Finley.  The outspoken former player says not only does he not have a relationship with the Packers, they actually charge him for tickets when he wants to come back to what he calls home.

Finley says, “If you tell it like you see it and don’t kiss their ass, they don’t want nothing to do with you”.

This isn’t the only story like this.  It’s sad.
