Unbiased? Nope, Not This Year

It’s for all the marbles, the championship.  It’s the World Series and I love baseball.  It’s what teams have worked for all, grueling season long.

Two storied franchises separated by 2,998 miles exactly.  The Boston Red Sox with their league leading payroll vs. the glitz and glam of the L.A. Dodgers. The team that just knocked out the Milwaukee Brewers for the right to get to this series.

I usually remain pretty unbiased as I watch these games.  Yeah, every now and then I’ll root for a good storyline but for the most part, I remain neutral.

As I sat and watched game 1, I found myself rooting.  No, not for the National League but for the team that doesn’t have Yasiel Puig or Manny Machado on it.  That’s what tipped the scales for me.  I just can’t bring myself to root for a team with either of those two on it.  Good players both but I guess character still means something to me….and they both lack it.
