It Was McCarthy Who Set The Bar

Let me start out by saying that I’m not in favor of Mike McCarthy losing his job.  I do believe that he’s a good football coach and has forgotten more about the game than I could ever hope to learn.

I do understand the angst and ire of the Green Bay faithful at this point.

On more than one occasion Mike McCarthy has stood at the podium and seemingly pontificated to the media about his football team.  He did so in an almost a “How dare you question my knowledge and personnel decisions” sort of dissertation.

When you have things under control and you’re sure of your route, that’s confidence.  When you look as if you’re incapable of rallying the troops without one specific player, that’s when legitimate questions start to become audibly deafening.

The Packers leader reminded the world, “I’m a highly successful football coach”

Packers Nation is now screaming, demanding….”Oh yeah, prove it”

And after what we all witnessed Sunday, coach Mike is a long long way from his condescending proclamation.
