Just When You Can't Take It Anymore

Sexual harassment, racial profiling, school shootings, terrorist bombings, thefts, knifings, child abuse and molestation, my kid would never do this, the cops did this, the government is corrupt, Trump flat out lies, the Democrats are no better, screw you…I’ve got mine, get yours….

Yup…we’re a pretty crappy society.  I can’t stand the negativity.  It just gets to be a bit much at times.

You can’t change the world but maybe just maybe you can make your corner of it a better place.

Jordan Bohannon did just that.  Recently Bohannon scored 25 points with seven 3s and his Iowa Hawkeyes held off the Northwestern Western Wildcats 77-70 in its home finale last Sunday night but that’s not the reason I write this.

You see, Bohannon had a chance to break the school record for consecutive free throws of 34 held by Iowa legend Chris Street, who died in a car accident midway through the 1993 season, late in the second half. But Bohannon, an Iowa native, pointed to the sky and intentionally missed the free throw that would've knocked Street out of the record books – By the way, Street's were parents in attendance.

I just needed this….
