A note to Aaron Rodgers,

You paid your dues and laid in wait, all the while knowing that your wit and talents only needed to be put on display. You are to be commended for the way you handled controversy early on; during the draft and throughout your predecessor’s ugly divorce.  We were all in awe of your athleticism, your intelligence, your tenacity and your will to win.  The ability to take a slight and use it as motivation to better yourself in every way.  Your intestinal fortitude should be commended and your desire for greatness has driven you to just that.

You are destined to don a gold jacket.

You stand atop the mountain now and you can look back on your career with pride, but you are not done yet.  The rest is up to you, and only you.

We as fans, members of the media, former players and those who work within the game all look at you as one who has the ability to be great again……if you will only listen.

You’re off.  You’re not you and you’re not the guy we grew to cheer for early on.  Something in you has changed.  Listen to us…..we are not quarterbacks but we are excellent witnesses.  Look in the mirror and be totally honest with yourself as to who you see staring back at you because we see someone different.
