What A Great Weekend

What a great weekend.  Not because the Brewers lost 2 out of 3 to the Philly’s. And not because Brooks Koepka won his second straight U.S. Open and I’m sure some in the media are going to bellyache about the course conditions.  And not because it was our first full weekend without he NBA.  And not because Mexico upset Germany in the World Cup.

But because, once a year, we get together to run and walk to feed the hungry.  Every year we hope for bigger and better numbers and this year was no exception and thanks to all of you, we broke a record once again.  Well over 2,000 of you came out on a picture-perfect night in Milwaukee and supported such a worthy cause, St. Ben’s Community Meal.

In addition, Sherry and I went to have a drink after the fact and saw the “naked bike ride” pass by (by the looks of some, that wasn’t a high-light).  I also ran in to new Bucks coaches Mike Budenholzer and Darvin Ham (and shared some GREAT stories from the Eastern Conference Finals year) and then had a wonderful Father’s Day.

What a great weekend.
